Our Psychologists

Dr. Morales graduated with his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. He completed an APA-approved doctoral internship at the University of Pittsburgh and a post-doctoral residency at Vanderbilt University. He is an experienced psychologist who has worked in behavioral medicine, rehabilitation psychology, and primary care mental health integration. Dr. Morales provides evidence-based treatments for Mood/Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD/Trauma Disorders, identity issues, and other mental health conditions. He worked as director of psychology for a CARF-accredited rehabilitation program, and also as a psychologist in the VAMC hospital system for many years. He has always maintained a private practice while in these roles. 

Dr. Yamanaka graduated with her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, which included completion of an APA-approved doctoral internship at the University of Memphis. She also has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Yamanaka has worked as a staff psychologist at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and as Training Director at the University of South Florida Counseling Center, St. Petersburg Campus. She has expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and has a Certificate in Autism from Ball State University. She has over a decade of experience as Executive Clinical Director for an autism treatment center. Dr. Yamanaka offers additional expertise in cross-cultural issues. She is a consultant for Japanese workers and their families acclimating to life overseas.
