Dr. Morales earned his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee. He completed an APA-approved doctoral internship at the University of Pittsburgh and a post-doctoral residency at Vanderbilt University's Psychological & Counseling Center. He has worked within behavioral medicine, rehabilitation psychology, and primary care mental health integration settings. He was Director of Psychology for a CARF-accredited rehabilitation program, and also worked as a psychologist in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center system for many years. He has also concurrently maintained a private practice. He has expertise in conducting forensic disability examinations. Dr. Morales provides evidence-based treatment for Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD/Other Trauma Disorders, identity issues, and other mental health conditions.
Dr. Yamanaka earned her Ph.D. at the University of Oklahoma, which included completion of an APA-approved doctoral internship at the University of Memphis. She also has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology. Dr. Yamanaka has worked as a staff psychologist at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and as Training Director at the University of South Florida Counseling Center, St. Petersburg Campus. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and has a Certificate in Autism from Ball State University. She is also Executive Clinical Director for an autism treatment center. Dr. Yamanaka offers additional expertise in cross-cultural issues. She is a consultant regarding Japanese employees acclimating to business positions overseas.
